Nine months into the voyage, and one man no longer remembers the night someone tried to kill him.
The Stellaris is bound for a system no one has ever charted. Aboard: eleven humans and Léa, the artificial intelligence that has assisted them since day one.
The ship’s astronomer wakes from medical stasis with entire weeks missing. He still has his instincts, his observer’s eye, and one piece of information nobody else holds: the voyage’s true destination. Everything else is gone — starting with any memory of what he was doing that night.
Investigating here means living with the people you suspect: sharing their meals, repairing their machines, and asking them to account for themselves.
- A fair investigation The story never lies to you. Every clue is real; it is what you conclude from it that can accuse the wrong person.
- Choices that commit you You do not decide what is true, but what becomes official: who is told, who is believed, which record survives.
- A locked room A hundred and eighty metres, six decks, no way out. The people you accuse, you will meet again tomorrow at the mess table.

Eleven humans on the roster. And Léa, who counts in no headcount at all.
Each of them holds a skill the ship depends on, a reason to be here, and something to protect. You are one of the eleven: the astronomer, whose first name you choose.
